Pandora for the iPhone is as easy to use as the website. Just type an artist you want to hear, it will build a radio station of similar songs and broadcast them in FMish-quality. The picks are usually accurate, but the science behind picking them is hilarious: The app explained that I have a soft spot for “boastin’ lyrics” and “headnodic beats”. Pandora works well over Wi-Fi, 3G, and even EDGE.

Our own Chris said he played it over EDGE while driving around Southern California and didn’t lose signal once. Other pros include album art and allowing you to skip, bookmark and thumbs up/down tracks for better accuracy. While all of these features make Pandora a great app, just thinking about it makes my battery drain

It’s pretty far down on the surprise-o-meter, but it looks like Nintendo is at least considering the possibility of a Wiimote with built-in MotionPlus for further on down the road. That word comes straight from Nintendo’s Katsuya Eguchi, who told a developer round table that, “as to looking at whether or not it will be an attachment or built in - we’re always looking at how hardware should evolve and where we should take it,” and that, “it’s something we’ll be looking at.” Katsuya also insisted that MotionPlus wasn’t an acknowledgment that the original Wiimote was somehow lacking, saying that Nintendo is “very happy” with what it did, but that, “of course, you always want more.”

Meizu M8 Release in August

after all those delays and tweaks, we will actually see the first device live in August. Atleast that’s what Meizu CEO J. Wong says in his post at the company’s website. The first version of the handset will only have 128MB of RAM and no ROM, but the final version expected to be available in October will feature 256MB of RAM and a whole 8GB of internal storage. It will cost you about $320.

Now, while I don’t think Meizu will have any trouble selling the M8 in Asia and Europe, the U.S. release of the device is questionable in view of objective reasons.
